on flowers, food and wine. These one-day trips are the perfect little getaway.

April 13 - International Orchid Show and Sale

Drexel University plays host to a spectacular world of
flowers with more than 1,200 orchids that will surprise and delight visitors.
In addition there will be an exhibit of North American orchid photographs, a
display of rare and unusual orchid books, and a display of blooming yellow Lady
Slippers, one of the
few native species that can be successfully grown in local gardens. The trip
fee is $79 and includes museum entry and transportation with lunch on your own.
Bus leaves at 8:00 am and returns at 4:00 pm.
April 20 - Leesburg
Flower and Garden Festival (Leesburg, VA) #351525
Join us for one of the most extensive garden shows around.
150 vendors will transform downtown Leesburg into a beautiful display of
landscape design, plants, flowers, herbs, outdoor living areas, and more to
showcase the latest in gardening ideas and supplies. After browsing, step into
the Wine Garden to sample the best from Loudoun County’s wineries and breweries,
as well as a huge selection of food plus music, entertainment and crafts. The
trip fee is $39 and includes transportation and entry fee. Meals are on your
own. Bus leaves at 9:00 am and returns by 4:00 pm.
April 27 - Great
Grapes Wine, Arts and Food Festival (Reston, VA) #351526
This local event has grown to include over 100 unique and
flavorful wines from some of the best wineries in Virginia. Master the art of
wine tasting, attend a wine seminar, enjoy live cooking demonstrations, and shop
a variety of local artists. Trip fee is $60 and includes transportation and
entry fee. Meals are on your own. Bus leaves at 11:00 am and returns at 5:00
pm.
