Sailing Trip on a Swedish Tall Ship
Reproduction and Tour of New Sweden Colony (Wilmington, DE)

day of sailing on a full-scale reproduction of a 17th century tall
ship that carried the Swedes to Wilmington, DE in 1628. Experience life onboard
as it was and tour the Swedish colony that was the first permanent European
settlement in the Delaware Valley. After the sailing trip you will tour
historic sites on land including the Old Swedes Church, the Burial Grounds, and
historic Hendrickson House Museum. Lunch is included at a local restaurant.

The present
day “evening parades” at the United
States Marine Corps Barracks on Eighth and I Streets in downtown Washington, DC
have been performed every Friday during the summer months since 1957. This is
the perfect opportunity to witness and appreciate the professionalism and
precision of the Marine Band, Drum and Bugle Corps, Color Guard, Silent Drill
Platoon, and Ceremonial Marchers.

guided tour of the elaborate 19th Century Dumbarton Oaks property located in the Georgetown neighborhood area of
Washington, DC. Our group will have a docent that will lead us through the
mansion to explore the Federal Period architecture, furniture and textiles and
take us through the museum to explore a well-known artwork and sculpture. Relax
in the formal gardens and enjoy lunch on your own at one of the many nearby
Georgetown restaurants.
