Montgomery County wants all families to be able to participate in
recreation programs. To help, Montgomery County Recreation offers financial
assistance to those families who qualify
and who already receive one of the following types of assistance:
Temporary Cash Assistance
Food Stamps
Medical Assistance
Care for Kids
Supplemental Security Income
Recreation will have the application for financial assistance online on
June 3rd on the Financial Assistance page of the Recreation website, as well as at each Community Recreation Center, and
the main office (4010 Randolph Rd. Silver Spring, Md.
20902). Applications will be accepted
starting on June 3rd. Funds are not available until July 1. Applicants will need to provide proper
documentation and they will find out the amount of assistance within 10 days.
Assistance can be applied to summer camps and summer programs, as well as
