Kids with special needs and those who enjoy our therapeutic recreation courses can also enjoy a camp environment designed to help them thrive all summer long. Campers will enjoy new experiences and make new friends in a safe and comfortable setting.

Camp Little Pines @ Parkland Middle School
Children ages 5-8 with learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD and/or mild behavior disabilities can enjoy a host of activities while they work on social skills. Kids will participate in creative games, dance and swimming to keep them moving and active. Plus there are planned theme weeks, arts and crafts, singing and field trips. Participants are placed in small groups for specific activity time. No personal care provided. Staff ratio: 1 staff / 4 participants.

Camp Big Pines @ Parkland Middle School
Youth ages 9-12 with learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD and/or mild behavior disabilities will engage in sports, outdoor games, and swimming this summer. Theme Weeks, board games, crafts and field trips are planned to enhance social skills. Participants are placed in small groups for specific activity time. No personal care provided. Staff ratio: 1 staff / 4 participants.

Camp Bullseye @ Parkland Middle School
Kids in middle school with learning disabilities, ADD/ADHD, HFA, and/or mild behavior disabilities will enjoy this camp as a transition from Camp Big Pines to the TR Summer Teen Center. Swimming and other summer activities keep kids active while games, team building activities, special events and local trips enhance socialization. No personal care provided. Staff ratio: 1 staff/4 participants.

TR(Therapeutic Recreation) Teen Center @ Wheaton Community Recreation Center
This camp is for active, independent teens ages 13-21 with developmental disabilities who will benefit from a variety of activities that will enhance social skills and self-esteem, and promote independence and skills for life. Games, crafts, swimming, wellness activities, local field trips and special events featured. No personal care is provided. Staff ratio: 1 staff / 4 participants. No transportation available and parent or guardian must pick up at camp by 4:00 pm.
