Youth Fall Sports Clinics and Leagues


KOA Sports Girls Field Hockey Clinic (7 sessions, $125)
Girls in 2nd to7th grades are encouraged to sign up for this clinic to learn the basics of the game, technique, and to work on drills and scrimmage. Perfect for beginners or those with some experience. Clinic will focus on safety and good sportsmanship as much as skills. All players will need an outdoor stick, shin guards and a mouth guard. Eyewear is optional. For more information download the flyer.

MD Sports Hoop Star Basketball Clinic (6 sessions, $90)
Kids in grades K-5 will break into groups to cover the fundamentals of basketball instruction, the rules of the game, practice drills, and work through scrimmages. In addition to they will learn life skills that will benefit them long after they have left the court like respect, commitment and teamwork.

One on One Afterschool Hoops (8 sessions, $100)
Students ages 6-12 will become better ball players as they work with One on One instructors running specific basketball drills and exercises. Kids can expect to improve their skills, and overall technique through practice games.

MD Sports Youth Soccer League (6 sessions, $85)
Kids ages 3-10 will love this fun, no-pressure soccer league where they are split up into different age groups, and every player will get to play in a game. They will learn the basic elements of soccer strategy and fair play during practice. Then they will get to use those skills during short 3 on 3 games that have two 10-minute halves. Volunteer coaches must participate and each child receives a t-shirt and award.

Challenger Sports Player Development Soccer (8 sessions, $130)
Kids ages 5-9 will benefit from small group practices and games. They will learn core techiques,  basic skills, and good sportsmanship through the practices and games. This program is offered at four convenient locations around the County.

Fencing Beginner I and II (10 sessions, $105)
Ages 9 and up will learn the basics of fencing including the rules, how to use and care for the equipment, and basic foil techniques. The curriculum will change as the skill level changes. All equipment is provided.  $20 material fee due to instructor.

Fencing Intermediate (10 sessions, $105)
Ages 9 and up will learn more advanced foil techniques including riposte direct, doublement, compound attacks with footwork, beat disengage, compound riposte and pris de fer opposition and envelopment.  $20 material fee due to instructor.
