One of the
greatest secrets of Montgomery County Recreation are our ‘FEET’ (Family
Entertainment and Exciting Trips)!
Families, adults, couples, and singles, too, enjoy meeting new people
and experiencing nearby places they have never thought to visit. Plus, with us
doing all the driving, participants can enjoy the scenery or connect with each
other during the ride to one our exciting destinations. Please be sure to
arrive 15 minutes early for ANY of these trips as we depart promptly at the
advertised time!
Riverside Winefest at Sotterley
Plantation in Hollywood, MD
This winefest truly is fun for the whole family with live music, fabulous food
(including Maryland specialties like crab cakes and fried oysters),
demonstrations, artists, and children’s programs -- not to mention the wine tastings! Take a mini
tour of the Plantation House that dates back to 1703, see a slave cabin that
dates to the 1830s, and walk through the gardens. Fee of $69 includes admission
fees and transportation. Meals on your
own.

Catoctin Colorfest in Thurmont, MD
Enjoy a day
browsing more than 360 craft vendors selling quilts, furniture, pottery, art,
candles, stained glass and more. Many local shops set up stands and local
organizations sell food. Stop and take in one of the many scheduled art and
dance demonstrations and enjoy live music from local bands. For a map of the

your own.

Peddler’s Village Apple Festival and
Outlet Shopping
Something for
everyone on this trip to beautiful Bucks County, PA with 70 specialty shops and
restaurants, the Giggleberry Fair family entertainment center, and the Factory Outlets next door! The Apple Festival gives everyone a chance to
sample treats, see demonstrations, and taste test a wide variety of apples
before grabbing a bushel to take home. Juried artisans will be present with their
wares and next door you’ll find the Penn’s Purchase Factory Outlet with over 40
outlet stores. Fee of $59 includes
transportation with meals on your own.
