Heart
disease, stroke and cardiovascular disease claim the lives of about 600,000 Americans every year
and to raise awareness, February has become American Heart Month.
In 2011 the Department of Health and Human
Services (HHS) started the Million Heartscampaign, which aims to prevent one million heart attacks and
strokes in the U.S. by 2017. One way to help reduce the risk is to exercise
regularly, which can help you manage contributing factors such as weight,
cholesterol, and blood pressure.
We have a
wide variety of classes to help you get moving, build exercise into your weekly
routine, and ultimately improve your heart health.
