Join us as we
celebrate the 10th Annual Silver Spring Jazz Festival in downtown Silver Spring
on Saturday, September 7, 4:30 to 10:00 p.m.. The entire family will enjoy a
night of music, dancing, food, and fun. This year’s headliner, Branford
Marsalis has worked with musical greats such as Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie,
Herbie Hancock, and Sonny Rollins, as well as Sting, the Grateful Dead and
Bruce Hornsby and of course, his own brother, Wynton Marsalis. Located in the heart of Silver Spring, as
Jazz Festival patrons you will have your choice of food vendors or bring a
picnic. Be sure to bring your beach
chairs.
Come to
Veterans Plaza at the Silver Spring Civic Building, corner of Ellsworth Drive and Fenton Street.
Parking is limited at the downtown garages including Wayne Avenue garage, the Town Square garage, and the
garages on Bonifant Street, Cameron at Ramsey Avenue, and Cameron at Fenton, so
consider taking Metro (Red Line to Silver Spring).
